The animal kingdom always has and hopefully always will share this Earth and life with all of us. Beautifully put in this quote…
Kinship with all creatures of the earth, sky, and water was a real and active principle. In the animal and bird world there existed a brotherly feeling that kept us safe among them… The animals had rights – the right of man’s protection, the right to live, the right to multiply, the right to freedom, and the right to man’s indebtedness. This concept of life and its relations filled us with the joy and mystery of living; it gave us reverence for all life; it made a place for all things in the scheme of existence with equal importance to all.” ― Chief Luther Standing Bear
The ancient peoples from all corners of the Earth recognised mankind’s connection with the animals and nature, they understood and used the teachings of the animal kingdom, and followed the natural law as taught to us by nature.
When we look at the attributes of the Animals, from the smallest insect to the largest beast, we can see how we would benefit by adopting their approach to life and each other.
Never will an animal lie to you, nor will they ever judge you, they understand forgiveness at a depth that the hearts of men have forgotten.
The Lakota people of Native Americans, refer to the animal kingdom as relatives, which of course they are, created equally by the same Divine power that created humanity, when they do a sacred deed, prayer or ceremony the words Mitakuye Oyasin means For All My Relations.
